Theo of Golden is a very enjoyable book. It tells a heartwarming story that is easy to read and understand. Theo is a likeable character, and it is easy to care about what happens to him throughout the story.
The book is filled with kindness, friendship, and important lessons about life. The author does a good job of making the characters feel real and relatable. The story moves along at a nice pace and keeps the reader interested from beginning to end.
One of the best things about this book is its positive message. It reminds readers about the importance of love, loyalty, and believing in yourself. There are also moments that are both touching and inspiring.
The story is about an older man who buys sketches of various people by a local artist named Asher that are displayed in the local coffeehouse. Theo buys them all and one by one he gives them to the people in these sketches. Happily befriending the many he encounters. As an older person myself, I can easily put myself in Theo’s shoes, wandering about with the hopes of making new friends.
I recommend Theo of Golden to all readers. The sudden ending and its revelations are a bit shocking and add an exclamation point to a story that seems to proceed in an otherwise simpler manner. Overall, Theo of Golden is a summer must read that is well worth picking up.
The book was first published independently, and that’s what caught my attention and made me want to get this. So, if you're like me and like to see indie authors succeed, then that's another reason to get this book.
Currently it's $14.99 for paperback at 400 pages on Amazon.
