2015 World Economic Forum Highlights

There were plenty of highlights from the 2015 World Economic Forum in Davos and some of these are included below, read on, if you are curious about what tomorrow will bring.

During the panel discussion “The Future of the Digital Economy” Google's Executive Chairman Eric Schmidt was asked about the future of the web and he went on to say that "The Internet will disappear." Yep, He said that. Google's oxymoronic executive chairman explains that we'll all be experiencing our digital connections as a seamless part of our everyday life. In his vision of everyone's fantastic futureworld … "There will be so many IP addresses and so many devices, sensors, things that you are wearing, things that you are seamlessly interacting with that you won't even sense it."

"It will be part of your presence all the time. Imagine you walk into a room, and the room is dynamic. And with your permission and all of that, you are interacting with the things going on in the room." And, just to clarify, in case you were wondering???the “it” that he is referring to is the INTERNET! Brilliant, I say, just brilliant! I imagine his comments were really intended to get people excited and draw attention to his presence, because there were a few other speakers who also caused a sensation when talking about privacy, technology and changes in society and how individual interactions with these issues will one day be so much of an afterthought, that it won't even matter.

Essentially, they are expanding on the concepts of a 'new normal' that we are continually being introduced to, whether we like it or not!

With regard to issues of pervasive surveillance and of our vanishing privacy, Professor Margo Seltzer says that day is here and here to stay! “Privacy as we knew it in the past is no longer feasible… How we conventionally think of privacy is dead.”
It’s not whether this is going to happen, it’s already happening,” - “We live in a surveillance state today.” - Professor Margo Seltzer

In the not so distant future we will be perpetually monitored and that miniaturized drone technology will be used to extract DNA and biometric information from us, for government and corporate use.

Sophia Roosth also caused a sensation when she added - “We are at the dawn of the age of genetic McCarthyism.”

So, don't be frightened. It's not going to hurt much, big brother loves you and you will be happier, because you love your big brother.
These dreamy eyed seers of our future  think most people will be willing to trade privacy for convenience, especially if there might be some benefit. Of course, this way of thinking will be more acceptable for younger people than older people, so no one should worry too much yet. It will take a lot of psychological conditioning over a long period of time before people will be wholeheartedly embracing these ideas, but the wheels of that propaganda machine are already rolling and the speakers in Davos Switzerland are making that known.

People often behave better when they have the sense that their actions are being watched.” - Anthony Goldbloom

These visionaries may be the first of such subjects to experience the 'internet of all things,' and I hope that they are. I also hope that they enjoy that life. The truth of the matter will boil down to something much simpler to understand and that is, to implement these fantastic ideas it will cost far too much than whatever information obtained could be worth. There is no such infrastructure in place or even capable of such an enormous amount of data. This is not to say that their ideas won't happen, but that they won't happen anytime soon.

Instead, what is likely to happen is that the future 'internet of all things' will gradually become more and more of our everyday lives.

Google has many projects in the works, but not all of their ideas are really good ideas. Google Glass is getting the ax and maybe one of their worst ideas was internet via hot air balloons. Now they are getting serious and spending in the right way with SpaceX and further developing satellite internet.

These guys are good, but often times they can't see the forest ahead, because of that really big tree in front of them obscuring their view. What I mean by that is developing something that works with all of the available radio waves and of course building a broad network of Bluetooth connectivity points. From coast to coast, if you look at the towns and roads, there are traffic lights all across the country, if they only had such a Bluetooth network that could tether and interconnect with the infrastructure already there. Just imagine the possibilities.

Google - Project Nova - Cell Service Provider

Google is planning to jump into a crowded field of service providers and offer their own.

They recently bought bandwidth from the Sprint and T-Mobile networks. Their new partnerships with Sprint and T-Mobile will bring the company into the cellular business itself, offering Google phone plans directly to consumers.

The mobile industry has been struggling in recent years with pricing and different business models. Google's ad-supported initiative, will drive down mobile data costs and this will be very disruptive to the wireless data pricing that consumers are paying now.

As we all know, carriers charge excessive fees for adding users to their plan or purchasing additional minutes, and for just about anything they can possibly think of, but that may change now, in order to compete with Google carriers will be forced to offer more competitive priced plans.

Before everyone gets too excited, it is likely that Google's new service will roll-out in limited areas to test the market, before it's available nationwide. As of this posting, there are no timeline or pricing details yet.

Googler's all know that there are many projects in the works, but let's hope this one actually happens.

Madonna The Unapologetic Apologist - Rebel Heart

Madonna is being called “disrespectful” for her photo tweets of Martin Luther King, Bob Marley and Nelson Mandela that promote her new album with the hashtag #rebelheart.

After these Madonna tweets, there were those who expressed their shock and outrage. After all of that, I myself am shocked and outraged at all of the Madonna hate. Kanye West can depict himself as Jesus to promote himself and no one seemed to mind. In fact, his antics were called creative expression, what a joke! I think it's obvious that whatever Madonna does, there will be a chorus of haters that will inevitably get some media attention.

In Madonna's own words...

"I'm sorry. I'm not comparing myself to anyone. I'm admiring and acknowledging their Rebel Hearts," she stated.

"Am I saying I am them NO I'm saying they are Rebel Hearts too. And I didn't do it My fans did and I just re-posted those photos. My fans aren't racist either. If they put me in the same category as these other people, Thank you."

Madonna, has since offered her apologies to the offended. Yawn...predictable!

Her new album, set for release in March has reached #1 in pre-order sales in more than 40 countries, but much of it appears to be unfinished and has somehow leaked and surfaced on the internet.

Madonna calls the leaks an invasion and also calls it "artistic rape" in a post which she has since deleted. "This is artistic rape!! These are early leaked demo's half of which won't even make it on my album the other half have changed and evolved. This is a form of terrorism. WTF!!!! Why do people want to destroy the artistic process??? Why steal? Why not give me the opportunity to finish and give you my very best?"- Madonna

Madonna offers her thanks to the fans who have not downloaded and or listened to the leaked tracks. "Thank you for not listening! Thank you for your loyalty! Thank you for waiting and if you have heard please know they are unfinished demos stolen long ago and not ready to be presented to the world.” - Madonna

In response to the leaked songs, Madonna quickly put together a smaller selection of 6 tracks and released them on December 20th.

Tracks Available For Order Now:

1. Living for Love - 3:38
2. Devil Pray - 4:05
3. Ghosttown - 4:08
4. Unapologetic Bitch - 3:50
5. Illuminati - 3:43
6. Bitch I'm Madonna (featuring Nicki Minaj) - 3:47

Three of these tracks immediately debuted on Billboard's Dance/Electronic Songs Charts, "Living for Love", "Bitch I'm Madonna", and "Unapologetic Bitch."

Just for the record, the other three tracks are the better ones! Pun Intended!

My favorite tracks are “Ghosttown” and “Devil Pray.”

Stay Tuned-In...The Queen of Pop is set to perform at the Grammy's on Feb. 8th and between now and then, there's certain to be more from our favorite Provocateur.

How to Copy Facebook Videos - Facebook Tricks

Save - Download Facebook Videos without Software

Have you ever seen a video on Facebook that you wanted to save and couldn't do it? Very often a video worth keeping gets posted, only to be removed later on. Have no fear, the solution to this dilemma is near.

Forget about downloading and using bogus ad supported freeware that isn't free after your initial trial offer ends bullshit software that is just a waste of time and will load your system up with tracking and hacking backdoors to soon be exploited.

There's no need!

All you have to do is, while playing the video you want to keep and save, go to the web address url as the video is playing, and highlight the www and change this to the letter m. Press enter and reload the screen. The video will be in a slightly different looking frame, but that's ok. Press play again. As the video is playing, with your cursor/pointer, right click and select save video as. Name your video, and save it where you can easily find it. That's all!

Many things get posted and make the news, only to disappear later. This little Facebook trick works and is a way for you to capture those things. So, I thought it might be a good idea to inform others how to easily do this.

Good Luck!

Charli XCX = Charli is Sexy, Yes! - Sucker Review

Charlotte Emma Aitchison the newest Pop sensation is better known as Charli XCX.
Charli XCX which is the acronym for Charlotte is Sexy, Yes! And that is with an emphatic YES! She insists that the letters do not stand for anything and that she thought it looked and sounded catchy, but other sources state that her stage name was a code created screen name while she was still underage and has simply stuck with her since.

Her popularity everywhere is on the rise after having one of the 2014 summer's biggest hits, "Boom Clap" and her third album just recently came out in December.
She is going to get a lot more attention soon and I imagine she will finally see her big mainstream break and soon become the latest teen favorite pop star, because she will be featured on the last leg of Katy Perry's Prismatic World Tour.
Charli XCX's music can be accurately described as goth pop or dark pop. The new album "Sucker" is in the same vein as Madonna, Katy Perry and Britney Spears. It is well crafted, with the help of many talented artists, creators and various producers. The tracks are all popalicicious and there should be at least four hit singles that marketed correctly could help keep this album relevant for several months to come.
I highly recommend it even if I rate the album with 3 Stars. The songs, music, and her vocals are all great, but the packaging, cover photo and album title are not very enticing. Sorry!
With that in mind I am reminded of the old saying 'never judge a book by it's cover' and that is what I would have you keep in mind, because I am sure you'll like her very much.

The $7 Scandal That Rocked the Web - F&R Auto Sales / Jarrid Tansey

The $7 Scandal That Rocked the Web - F&R Auto Sales / Jarrid Tansey

Word Cloud - Michael Ramos the Finance Manager - Pizza Palace - F&R Auto Sales - Irate Pizza Driver - Jarrid Tansey

F&R Auto Sales in Freeport, Ma. proudly uploaded a video titled “Irate Pizza Driver,” with the intention to publicly humiliate a pizza delivery man as well as try to get the man fired.

What happened was the brain trust of F&R Auto Sales dealership in Westport, MA ordered some pizzas and drinks. The cost of which came to 43 dollars. When the delivery man arrived, he was handed two 20 dollar bills and two 5 dollar bills. Think about that and ask yourself 'What Would Jesus Do'-WWJD?? Now let me think here...two 20s and one five comes to $45, and their total was $43, leaving $2 in change due. They gave an extra $5, therefore it should be safe to assume the extra cash was intended to be a tip, not an irrationally unrealistic uncommon practice occurring these days with your normal pizza-purchasing populace.

In this case, the proof is in the video! The delivery man left after receiving payment, and has to return again later to return the whole $7 bucks! In his return, he attempts to rationally explain what he thought had happened only to get treated badly by the F&R Auto Sales brain trust. Here he gets gets harassed, laughed at and threatened by the staff from F&R Auto Sales in Freeport, Ma.

Hard to believe all of this drama is over $7, but even harder to believe is that these crude, obnoxious assholes from F&R Auto Sales somehow see themselves as the victims and post the video of themselves righting the wrong they felt was done to them. Instead they show the whole world that they themselves are the clueless classless idiots. They really believed they were in the right on this matter and posted the video of their exchange with the now famous delivery man Jarrid Tansey. They posted the video titled "Irate Pizza Driver" and after it was re-posted on Reddit the video went viral. Since this exchange the masses have risen and proceeded to flood the dealership's phones, slow their website to a crawl, and completely trashed their ratings on Yelp and Google. Sweet.

Eventually, the owner of the dealership and his son went in person to apologize to Pizza Palace, in an attempt to stop the out of control damage, too little-too late. Now the world knows that the dealership of F&R Auto Sales employs an entire staff of assholes!

According to the Pizza Palace Manager – Adam Willoughby, this isn’t the first time they have had problems with F&R Auto. “All the time, there’s always a problem, always an issue,” Hernandez said. “We’ve been going back and forth with them for a long time.”

Please feel free to write or call:
F&R Auto
1052 State Rd
Westport, MA 02790
Phone number (508) 678-3208

Be sure to leave your opinion of this dealership on their Yelp Page. At the very least, check the page out, there is some interesting additional information to be found there.

What happened to Jarrid should not happen to anyone, but don't feel too bad for him, because not long after this a gofundme page created by Amanda Marie Rogers has since raised Jarrid Tansey over 30,000. Call it Karma or whatever, but just maybe this time around the right thing happened to the right guy, and as Jarrid says “All is right in the world now.”
