Michelle Branch Hopeless Romantic New Album Out Now!

Four months into the new year, and the new music coming out thus far has not been much to get excited about.

Well be glad you landed here on this blog page, I am going to point you in the right direction, I've found a new album by an artist many have forgotten about, and haven't heard from in many years. Michelle Branch has just released her first album in 14 years and it's called Hopeless Romantic.

The new album came together in 2015-2016 and Michelle finally signed with Verve.

The album was just released on April 7th and it's better than anything she has ever done before. She has developed what she calls her new sound and made it more personal. Her new sound she describes as “laid back rock.”

The album's real strength is in the quality of all of these songs, they are all great. Several will become singles, that I'm sure of. It's a well crafted album with excellent production and musicianship. The vocals are as perfect as all of the songs.

If you're looking for new songs to plug into and be able to play again and again then this album is for you!

The album is so good it will be among the year's best and very likely one of the most talked about.

For more about Michelle's long absence from music follow the link provided, and read the nice piece by Alyse Whitney.

The Original Fast And The Furious 1955 Full Movie

Forget all about Vin Diesel, Jason Statham, Dwayne Johnson, Charlize Theron, Scott Eastwood, and Michelle Rodriguez...at least until the weekend!

This Fast and Furious Flick is a Roger Corman Classic production from 1955 and stars a guy with one of the coolest names ever, John Ireland. John Ireland plays Frank Webster.

After breaking out of jail, Frank Webster, who's been serving time for a murder he did not commit, is on the run. He quickly gets spotted in a little cafe and has to fight to get away. In his escape he takes hostage a young woman named Connie and her Jaguar.

She tries to escape a few times, which leads him to treat her more roughly than he wanted to, but of course they eventually fall in love. Frank plans to escape into Mexico by entering a race that crosses the border.

The plan never happens as, Connie informs the police. She wants Frank to clear his name, and in the end he finally agrees.

It's a pretty straightforward Roger Corman film from long ago. It is interesting to watch and this film is where the new franchise takes its initial inspiration from. Today's movies rely more on special effects and stunts, but the old classics live on. They have more character and seem to be more real and genuine.

This was a B-Movie that did well and has an excellent cast and direction.

For those of you who love the old classics check it out on YouTube.

In the final closing moments of the film Frank's best line was,
“It isn't what you are that counts...it's what you get taken for.” - Frank Webster

Amazon Launches Amazon Cash

Amazon Launches Amazon Cash, another way to shop its site without a bank card

Amazon recently launched Amazon Cash, a new service that allows consumers to add cash to their Amazon.com balance by showing a bar-code at a participating retailer, then having the cash applied immediately to their online Amazon account. The service supports adding any amount between $15 and $500 in a single transaction.

Amazon Cash is now available at these brick-and-mortar retailers in the U.S. CVS Pharmacy, Speedway, Sheetz, Kum & Go, D&W Fresh Market, Family Fare Supermarkets, and VG’s Grocery. Amazon says that other stores will be added in the future.

Amazon Cash is really aimed at the cash customer. Yes, believe it or not, there’s quite a few folks out there who don’t have a bank account, credit cards or even a debit card. Many of these people don't even shop online and never have. Amazon Cash is just another way for people to experience online shopping without having to worry over issues with credit/debit cards.

More than a quarter of all consumers are still cash consumers, so this new program could be enticing to some of these shoppers.

The new service is for anyone who just wants to deposit some cash in their Amazon.com account, without hassle. The big advantage here is that, as soon as you checkout at the register, the funds are available in the customer’s Amazon account, and there are no fees!

You do need to have an Amazon account and from there go to manage funds and print out your bar-code that can be re-used anytime. I'd keep the barcode scanned in a photo or a file on my phone, but you can also print it out and keep it in your wallet or purse.

Customers only need to show their bar-code to the cashier, and tell them how much cash they want to apply to their account. The cashier then scans the bar-code and the customer pays with their cash.

The funds will be available instantly. Customers are alerted to this via a notification sent to their email or registered phone number with Amazon.

*This is not to be confused with Amazon's Gift cards.
The only bad thing here is the very limited number of retailers taking Amazon Cash. Hopefully it will expand to include many others, including the ones you frequently use.

Cheers!
