This is a story of professional car thieves who are contracted to steal 48 cars in a matter of a couple of days. The car thieves work both sides of the action because they're in the insurance racket and know everything, not to mention this is a family business. The film is pure 70's shtick. Hang on to your seats, because the best part of this flick is that all the car chasing and car crashes are for real. There's a 40 minute car chase full of crazy action. Look out for Eleanor, she's the one that's real trouble.

So, forget about Nicolas Cage and Angelina Jolie and the lame remake. The real deal action flick Gone In 60 Seconds is from 1974 and stars “Toby” H. B. Halicki.

This is one of those rare gems and genuinely hard to come by films, because it was a low budget independently made film. It was made with a budget of $150,000 and has made $40 million.
